Saw the League of Gentlemen in “Horrible Histories”, they reminded me of this Japanese Sketch Show “Sengoku Nabe TV(戦国鍋TV)”. They featured stories from Sengoku and Edo era in Japanese history(14c-18c) , young brilliant Japanese theatrical actors doing sketches.This clip is from “Music Tonight” sketch.
なんとなく歴史が学べる、という点では”Horrible HIstories”も「戦国鍋ＴＶ」も同じ観点ではないか、と。
ただし”Horrible Histories”は子ども向けだけあって歴史上本当にあった話をお笑いにしていているのに対し、「戦国鍋ＴＶ」のミュージック・トゥナイトのコーナー場合、衣装が昔のアイドル風なので歴史＆アイドルを知っていないと笑えない点は違いますが。
